1st Spring Fashion Show
Fashion show
As May is Mental Health month, what better way to kick off our celebration than with the Circle of Friends’ 1st Spring Fashion Show held at the center.
Several of the peers participated by modeling clothes which were donated by staff members and
Genesis AME Church, Suisun City.
This was an opportunity for the ladies to be empowered to let their fierceness be shown with confidence while walking the red carpet.
With the help of
Ruby Davis, Homeless to Successful Program, the women were treated to hair and makeup styling.
At the closing of the show, the women were given the outfits they modeled for the day and a small token of appreciation. They were so excited and look forward to the next one.
Special thank you to those who participated:
Ruby Davis, Hair/Makeup Artist
Sandra Bolden, Mistress of Ceremonies
Nathan Hooper, Soloist
Denise Coleman, Photographer
Models: Annette Green, Theresa Theard, Phildrea Madison, Londa Anderson, Gin Rose, Stacy Lopez and James Keller

NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. What started as a small group of families gathered around a kitchen table in 1979 has blossomed into the nation’s leading voice on mental health. Today, we are an association of hundreds of local affiliates, state organizations and volunteers who work in your community to raise awareness and provide support and education that was not previously available to those in need. NAMI relies on gifts and contributions to support our important work. – See more at: http://www.nami.org/About-NAMI
What NAMI DOES:

We are a Family
We are a Family
At the Circle, all members of the Leadership Team have lived experience in Behavioral Health which, in turn, promotes a safe, comfortable and compassionate environment to encourage adult peers, who reside in Solano County, who want to have a better quality of life, achieve their goals.
We understand each other because we have had many common experiences and can relate to the struggles of living with mental illness.
We share a common bond.
We live by the motto,
“Nothing About Us, Without Us”
